South Oak Woodcraft is a family owned business that aims to create timeless timber floating shelves from quality locally sourced Tasmanian timber.
All of our shelves are handcrafted here in our workshop just outside Launceston, Tasmania. We primarily use Tasmanian Oak for its superior finish and hard wearing nature. Our steel brackets, used with our slimline shelves, are also manufactured locally and are super easy to install.
The idea for South Oak Woodcraft first blossomed in 2019, after a long and fruitless search for good quality timber shelves left us thinking, “why not make our own?”
Our design has an effortless simplicity to it that creates a functional and elegant floating shelf, while allowing for easy installation.
